What is basal cell carcinoma – epithelium ?

 Basal cell carcinoma, or basal cell epithelioma, is the most common malignancy in humans and accounts for 75% of skin cancers. It usually affects patients over 40 years. Its appearance is directly related to the sun or exposure to ultraviolet radiation, which is why most of them are located in the exposed parts of the head. However,some occurs in areas protected from the sun or light. It develops slowly, it does not and the patient is late to visit the dermatologist.

Treatment

Treatment depending on the stage is done by the dermatologist electrosurgical, with cryosurgery, or by surgical removal. In early stages it can be treated with a topical preparation.
